CMK is an award-winning developer and publisher of premium-quality software for the Windows and Macintosh platforms.  The company is western-owned with operations in Ukraine and the US. Founded in 1997 with an initial staff of 8 programmers, CMK today has 300 employees. The majority of CMK's work is contract development for leading software publishers and hardware manufacturers in the US, Canada and Europe. Projects range from children's educational programs to sophisticated mathematical tools and enterprise software. Additionally, CMK develops and publishes its own line of consumer and education software products under the brand name "Software MacKiev", which it distributes worldwide and for which the company has won many industry awards (see www.mackiev.com).

As a result of our continued growth and expansion, we are looking for an experienced human resources professional :

Director of Human Resources

The primary responsibility is recruiting and retaining the best and brightest programmers, testers, artists and creative writers in Ukraine. Other responsibilities include designing an improved performance reward system, and enhancing the company benefits  program.
The position is based in Kiev and reports to the General Manager. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, self-starter with strong creative ideas  on making an ideal work environment that is as enjoyable as it is productive.

Requirements:
• University degree, preferably  in human resource management, psychology or any related field
• Fluent English
• 5 years large company experience in an organization with progressive HR practices
• Ability to maintain appropriate balance between strategic and 'hands on' issues
• Strong interpersonal and mentoring skills
• Ability to devise, promote and gain acceptance for personnel policies, consistent with corporate requirements
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent communication skillsƒ
